Ekko ("we," "us," "our") provides a faith-community mobile and web application that connects members of Christian communities for discipleship, messaging, and learning. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

Content moderation and reporting

Ekko includes messaging and broadcast features that allow community members to share content. We commit to reviewing reports of objectionable content within 24 hours of submission, in line with Apple App Store guideline 1.2. We maintain a zero tolerance policy for harassment, hate speech, and other abusive content as described in our Terms of Service.

Children

Ekko is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at support@ekko.life and we will delete the account.

Your rights

Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we retain a minimal tombstone record (user identifier and cancelled status) so that messages you have previously sent remain attributed to a recognized source in other users' conversations. All personally identifying profile data is removed at the moment of deletion.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), managed cloud infrastructure, and strict access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a material breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of Ekko after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
